7th January 2019

Staff Changes
As you will know, Miss McNeela left us on the 31st December to pursue her career elsewhere. We had appointed a teacher to take over in Year 6 from 1st January, who then decided not to join us. Unfortunately, we did not receive this information until the Christmas holidays, which has meant that we haven't been able to recruit a Key Stage 2 teacher externally. We have given a great deal of thought to what is best for all the children in the school and from Tuesday 8th January we will be making the following changes.

Year 6 classes will be taught by Mrs Duncton and Mrs Hunt, supported by other teachers in preparation for Key Stage 2 tests. Mrs Cavinato will be supporting in Year 6 for some afternoon lessons. Acer will be engaged in lessons such as French, PE and Music at these times.

Beech class will be taught by Mrs Phillips and Mrs Darby. We are fortunate that Mrs Phillips knows the Year 1 children very well, having taught them in Reception last year, and so is delighted to be working with them for the rest of this academic year. Mrs Emma Darby is an experienced EYFS and KS1 teacher who is known to us and we're thrilled to welcome her to the team. Mrs Phillips will be leading the Year 1 team and will be working alongside Mrs Darby on Wednesday afternoons to ensure consistency.

We would like to reassure you that we have given a great deal of thought to ensuring that all children's needs are met and feel confident that this plan will be successful. We appreciate that you may have questions and would urge you to discuss them with us, should you wish to. We thank you for your continuing support.
